 CODE OF CONDUCT

Course Structure:
We will hold 14 class sessions in total. Across the semester, we will read 11 assigned texts and conduct 3 lectures.

Participation Requirements:
To pass the course, each student must either actively participate in class discussions at least five times or attend an oral examination.

Active Participation:
“Active participation” means presenting a well-prepared argument or critical point on the text under discussion. To prepare, each student will post their argument or reflection on the provided Miro board prior to class.

Miro Board Contributions:
Before each discussion, students will post their argument, insight, or critical note on the shared Miro board. These notes will be discussed in class. The link to the Miro board is:

MIROBOARD link:

Frequency of Participation:
Student should make 5 substantial contributions across the semester—each tied to a specific text. Contributions must be posted before class and discussed during the session.

Oral Exam:
If a student does not meet the 5 participation minimum, they must take an oral exam. In that exam, the student will bring 5 notes on 5 different texts, and these will be discussed during the oral assessment. Students should read and be able to discuss all the texts and the 3 recorded lectures. Exam is in english language.

Grading Basis:
Your grade depends on either fulfilling the 5-class participation quota or successfully completing the oral exam.

Recordings:
All classes will be recorded and made available online so students can review them afterward.
